WHAT IS SYMBIS
- SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) is an assessment based couples counseling model for engaged, newly married and couples who have been married for awhile.
Why is SYMBIS important?
- The SYMBIS Assessment gives you a personalized road map to make your marriage everything it was meant to be. In a world where the divorce rate is over 50% (and 67% for second marriages).
- Following completion of the assessment, the couple meets with Mr. and Mrs. Beard for a minimum of 6 sessions.
- The assessment allows each person to discover their views, believes or experience in 10 areas.

- Family of Origin - Explores the impact of family of origin beliefs, traditions, and culture have on marriages.

- Personalities – SYMBIS identifies 8 personality types and assesses couple's individual type, strengths and weaknesses.

- Talk Styles - focuses on communication styles, and how those styles impact conflict.
- Gender Roles - Explores how the couple view gender roles within the relationship.
- Faith and Spirituality - offers interested couples an assessment to identify each person's aspect of faith and how to integrate it into the marriage.
